Promotion

Daniel 3:30......

Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the province of Babylon.

Its revival time @ Kadesh Baptist Church!!!!! And boy did I need a revival.... I was so excited to get to Church on yesterday. When I first got there, I must admit I was looking around looking for the Revivalist for the night. I looked in the pulpit and I didn't see a new
face. I looked on the front row and didn't see a new face. I was perplexed to see that there was not a guest minister in house. However, I was still excited because God had put it in my spirit that There was a word going on  at +Kadesh Baptist Church Detroit,MI . So It didn't matter who was going to deliver the message, the word was going forth and it was for me.

Suddenly, I look in the pulpit and see Pastor Rochelle White of New Beginnings Bible Church. She was our 8am service speaker last year and I hadn't forgot her. I nearly fell off the pew when I saw her.... I love her. I told my sister/girlfriend this is going to be Good..... And it was a Good word indeed.

Here is a recap for you from my perspective.  She came from Daniel 3.  Read it for yourself, it is too long to post in this post.  Most of us are familiar with the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They were thrown in a blazing Furnace because the refuse to fall down and worship the kings god. The king order that soldiers heat the furnace 7x hotter and thrown the 3 boys bound up in fire.  The fire was so hot that soldiers that throw them in were killed. But as you know the king came to check the furnace looking for 3 piles of ashes , he found 4 men unbound walking around in the fire.  The king was astonished that the boys were unbound and walking around. He declared that the 4th man looked like the son of God. And declared that the  3 Boys were serving the Most High God to come out of the fire unharmed and not even smell like Fire. Then he PROMOTED them.

Pastor White said sometimes your promotion is coming by way of fire. Your Promotion is coming by way of fire. Some of us have been waiting for a promotion for months or years. Every month you look around hoping that today is the day you will be promoted. Day after day, month after month, something occurs to prevent the promotion. You are in the fire. You are getting refined. Somethings are being burned off you. You had to be in the fire walking with the Lord. You are made of precious gems and metals. Like silver and Gold you have to be refined before you are ready for the battle, the journey, your destiny.

Stand strong. Do not waver to the left or the right. Your time is coming! Do not grow weary in well doing... You are precious in God's eyes and He wants you to be prepared for the battle... You have been Promoted by Fire!

Run and Tell Everyone the Good News

Luke 8:14-15 NIV

The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.  But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.

It is my belief that you can refer back to the Word of God to get the answer to any question you have....
How many times have you given some good information to the wrong person and it went to waste it didn't help them or you. Your advice, information, or news fell amongst thorns.. They were not properly prepared to hear what you had to say. Don't fret, They heard you but was not listening... It will come back to their remembrance if God so chooses for them to get the message. However, there are those times when you shared that same information with another person and they were listening. They took it in, digested it and moved on what you said...Don't stop telling, advising, loving, caring and sharing with others because what you had to offer fell on ground that was filled with thorns because eventually it will fall on good Ground and flourish........

Now that makes Good Christian Sense to me... How about you?

Love you so much...

Do you consider me family?

When I first began my Christian journey, I can remember everyone that was not a minister or deacon being call Sister or Brother so and so. Lately, we have done a way with those practices. I think we need to bring it back.

I can remember thinking to myself, "why are we calling folks that are clearly not my relatives, Sister and Brother." whatever the reason, I did it out of respect.

Today, I think I understand why those practices were put in place. It so important to recognize the member of your church as your family. A lot of time they are the only family we have that is close by. some of us have families that are in other states
I have been at the same church for nearly 30 years. I have seen this church grow from little corner church to a church that stretched nearly a whole block. What I love about it is that we still refer to each other as a church family. The church has grown to be a 500+ membership congregation, however our Pastors  take the time to show some type of love the members. The bishop of our church has an open door policy. I think the first lady/ co pastor knows the name of everyone who walks through the door. The 8 am pastor every Sunday walks around the church welcoming and greeting the congregation.

Although we have gotten away from referring to one another as sister or brother, we make a conscious effort to keep a family atmosphere.

In our natural families, we love each in  our rights and our wrongs. We are encouraged to stick together and love on each other. If you have a problem with someone worked it out, hugged and let it go. If the problem can not be worked out amongst the sisters and brothers, the big brother/ sister in charge listens to the issue and works out a solution. When big brother/ sister can't work it out, we take it to Mom or Dad.

In the church if we thought of each others as brothers or sister, we may be able to decrease the large amount of "church hurt" in church...We have to learn to work out our issues with one another, hug and move on. We have to love each other unconditionally.

Jesus say that the greatest commandment is love God and love our neighbor. Jesus said how can you love him whom you never seen and hate your brother.

1 Corinthian 13:4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails.
